Routes to each protected title — the specialism-specific pathways

From a GBC-conferring undergraduate or conversion degree, the specialism determines the postgraduate route and the HCPC-approved programme. Clinical → DClinPsy (a 3-year NHS-funded doctorate). Counselling → a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology or the BPS Qualification in Counselling Psychology (QCoP). Educational → a 3-year professional doctorate in Educational Psychology. Forensic → a BPS-accredited MSc plus BPS Stage 2 / Qualification in Forensic Psychology (QFP) supervised practice. Health → an MSc Health Psychology (Stage 1) plus Stage 2 / QHP.
