The Portfolio Pathway is the route to entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or GP Register) for doctors who have not completed a UK CCT, by demonstrating equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. It is the principal non-CCT route for internationally-trained specialists. The Portfolio Pathway replaced the former CESR / CEGPR route in late 2023.
