Overseas chiropractor → UK register: the GCC Test of Competence

A chiropractor holding a qualification gained outside the UK cannot simply transfer onto the UK register: they must pass the GCC Test of Competence (TOC) before they can apply to register. The GCC runs the TOC on four dates a year (typically January, March, June and September). The two-year trap: if you pass the TOC but delay registration beyond two years, you must complete the Return to Practice in the UK programme before registering. Application is online, with documents including evidence of qualification, a GP/Medical Director fitness report, character references, a police check and indemnity proof. A separate route exists for Free Trade Agreement (FTA) / Swiss applicants.
