This policy explains how Verifera Talent (a trading name of Camden Medicals Ltd, the data controller, registered in England & Wales) uses cookies and similar technologies on verifera.co.uk. Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site work reliably and, where you agree, help us understand how it is used so we can improve it.
How we use cookies
We use two categories of cookie. Essential cookies are always on because the site cannot function securely without them; under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) these do not require your consent. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent — they are not set until you choose “Accept analytics”, and you can change your mind at any time. We do not use advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies.
Essential cookies (always on)
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
verifera_consent_analytics | Remembers your analytics choice so we do not ask again. | 6 months |
PHPSESSID, wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Maintain your session, security and site preferences (mainly when you sign in). | Session – 1 year |
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed. We operate Google Consent Mode, so analytics storage is denied by default and is only enabled after you accept. IP addresses are anonymised and the data is used only in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes visitors to compile usage statistics. | Up to 2 years | |
_ga_<id> | Maintains the analytics session state. | Up to 2 years |
Google processes this data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choice and how to change it
When you first visit you can choose Accept analytics or Essential only; both options are offered equally, and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept. You can change your choice at any time — reopen the cookie notice from the link in the site footer, or clear the verifera_consent_analytics cookie in your browser and reload. Withdrawing consent leaves only essential cookies in place and does not affect any processing already carried out.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working. General guidance is available at aboutcookies.org.
