For internationally-qualified pharmacy technicians the GPhC’s message is that the education, training and experience requirements must be completed in the United Kingdom, even if you have qualified in another country. The GPhC’s registration criteria cover initial registration by UK and internationally qualified pharmacy technicians alike, and require a GPhC-accredited or recognised pharmacy technician course or qualification at a minimum of level 3 (RQF) or level 6 (SCQF), or an equivalent. Applicants with Swiss nationality, or who qualified as pharmacy technicians in an EEA-EFTA country, are asked to contact the GPhC’s international team. Check the GPhC’s criteria before starting.
