HCPC international application route
How overseas-trained professionals join the HCPC register — by mapping their qualifications to the Standards of Proficiency, with evidenced English-language proficiency. From November 2025 a mandatory mapping document applies.

HCPC registrants renew every two years; at each renewal the HCPC randomly audits 2.5% of each profession's CPD (recent graduates are not audited at first renewal).

The umbrella UK regulator for 15 health and care professions — including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, paramedics, radiographers and dietitians. (Social workers in England moved to Social Work England in 2019, so HCPC now regulates 15, not 16.)
