Becoming a UK osteopath — the GOsC Recognised Qualification route
The domestic route is a GOsC Recognised Qualification (RQ) from an accredited Osteopathic Education Institution — a BSc(Hons)/BOst/BOstMed or a master's (M.Ost), usually four years full-time — leading to GOsC registration. "You need an M.Ost" is an over-simplification: you need a Recognised Qualification.

In the UK an osteopath is a statutorily-regulated NON-physician manual-therapy practitioner — not a physician. Under s.32 of the Osteopaths Act 1993 it is a criminal offence for anyone not registered with the GOsC to describe themselves as an osteopath, and the protected-title net is wider than the single word.
