Product Governance Manager

Overview

As Product Governance Manager, you shape how our customer-centric insurance and assistance products deliver fair value and comply with regulatory standards. You’ll drive governance across product design and performance, champion consumer interests, and enable transparent, fair outcomes. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring, insights, and accountability. This role offers a chance to influence how products meet customer needs while upholding regulatory integrity and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular assessments to ensure fair value and customer alignment
• Review and improve product monitoring frameworks
• Conduct root-cause analysis to identify pain points and drive improvements
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions for customer-centric development
• Ensure new/revised products follow approvals and regulatory requirements
• Maintain FCA and other regulatory compliance documentation
• Design and oversee dashboards tracking customer outcome indicators
• Use data insights to identify trends and opportunities for positive change
• Advocate for the voice of the customer across the organization
• Support regulatory change projects and cross-functional transformation
• Manage a team to foster high performance and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• 3-5 years in product governance, conduct risk, or related role in financial services or insurance
• Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly
• Ability to analyze complex information and translate insights into actionable improvements
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for fair outcomes and ethical practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
