Associate / Sr Associate - Employment Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will provide commercial employment law advice to a broad client base, managing your own varied caseload and supporting the firm’s growth. You will work across contentious and non-contentious matters, draft essential documentation, and represent clients in negotiations and Employment Tribunal proceedings. You will also supervise junior solicitors, contribute to business development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions. Responsibilities

• Manage own varied caseload with autonomy
• Advise on contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Draft and review contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
• Represent clients in negotiations, Employment Tribunal proceedings, and ADR
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments
• Meet time, billing, and financial targets
• Build client and referrer relationships
• Support business development and thought leadership
• Provide TUPE support to Corporate/Property teams
• Conduct due diligence on corporate transactions and draft warranties/indemnities
• Advise on data protection and DSARs
• Supervise and develop junior solicitors, trainees, and paralegals
• Deliver employment law training to clients and colleagues
• Collaborate within the team and across the firm

Key requirements

• England & Wales qualification (or equivalent)
• at least 4 years' PQE
• strong experience managing employment matters with autonomy
• experience conducting Employment Tribunal proceedings
• excellent drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills
• meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
