In this role you will lead the design and management of water and wastewater projects from outline through detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on a design-and-build programme, aligning technical, constructability and commercial outcomes. You’ll mentor colleagues, coordinate cross-disciplinary designers and BIM specialists, and nurture strong client relationships. The role offers a clear path to professional chartership and a flexible blend of home, office and site work. You will contribute to large-scale projects within the Living Water Enterprise, shaping sustainable water infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Lead design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design and through construction, commissioning and handover
Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, process designers, BIM modelers, technical specialists) to meet programme, budget and quality requirements
Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues
Build and maintain positive relationships with client project, operational and technical assurance teams to promote a one-team approach
Work within a project triangle with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to align technical, constructability and commercial aspects
Key requirements
Accredited Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Process or Electrical)
Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects
Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
