FM Manager

A leading Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join their team at HMP Long Lartin on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services, ensuring statutory compliance, managing site operations and leading a team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day management and delivery of Hard FM services across the site.
• Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Leading, supporting and developing the on-site engineering and maintenance teams.
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works meet required quality standards.
• Monitoring KPIs, service performance and operational targets.
• Managing site budgets, costs and financial performance.
• Conducting site audits, inspections and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Facilities Manager, Hard FM Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing engineering teams, subcontractors and maintenance operations.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant technical or Facilities Management qualification, ideally IWFM Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience working within a prison, secure environment or complex estate would be advantageous.
• Ability to obtain prison security clearance.
