Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do

• Improve production processes to raise output and cut waste, scrap and downtime
• Lead continuous improvement projects using lean tools (5S, SMED, value stream mapping)
• Write and update work instructions, routings and process documents
• Introduce new products and equipment onto the shop floor
• Investigate production problems and put lasting fixes in place
• Work with quality, maintenance and production teams to hit targets

What you need

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years as a manufacturing, production or process engineer
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Hands-on, practical approach and confidence on the shop floor

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• CAD skills (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
• Experience with PFMEA and control plans
