Investment Analytics

London | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a leading organisation as they continue to modernise their technology landscape. They're looking to hire a Front-End Engineer to help build a next-generation analytics platform used by professionals across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer who enjoys creating intuitive, data-rich applications and wants to work closely with end users to solve complex analytical challenges through exceptional user experience and application design.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for building the user-facing experience for a suite of investment analytics tools, including portfolio comparison, risk and performance analysis, what-if scenario modelling and exception management workflows.

Working closely with engineers, investment users and subject matter experts, you'll transform complex analytical outputs into clear, intuitive and actionable user journeys.

The organisation is looking for a strong application engineer and user experience advocate. While experience within financial services is highly desirable, they are primarily interested in candidates with excellent front-end engineering skills and a passion for building high-quality products.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing modern web applications using TypeScript and React.
• Building intuitive user interfaces for portfolio analytics and risk insights.
• Creating interactive dashboards, charts and visualisations.
• Developing rich data-grid experiences and drill-down capabilities.
• Integrating front-end applications with APIs and analytical services.
• Working directly with investment and business users to understand requirements.
• Translating complex calculations into simple, understandable workflows.
• Building responsive, accessible and performant applications.
• Implementing automated testing and quality assurance practices.
• Contributing to UI standards, component libraries and front-end best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and React (or a comparable modern framework).
• Experience building complex web applications and user interfaces.
• Strong API integration skills.
• Experience developing interactive charts, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Experience working with large datasets and advanced data grids.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies.
• A user-focused mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Experience

• Investment management, trading, risk, fintech or financial services applications.
• Analytics, business intelligence or other data-intensive platforms.
• Real-time or near real-time data visualisation.
• Design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Working directly with front-office or business stakeholders.
• Agile software development environments.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping the user experience of a business-critical investment analytics platform.

You'll be working on applications used to support investment decisions, helping users make sense of large volumes of complex data through intuitive design, powerful visualisation and modern engineering practices.

If you're passionate about building elegant, high-performing applications and want to see the real-world impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
