Product Engineer - Platform Experience

Overview

In this role you will help build the Platform Experience layer that powers the Board Intelligence platform. You will design and ship web applications and APIs and lead authentication-centric features for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with client IT teams, maintain high security and data protection standards, and leverage AI tools to move faster without compromising quality. This is a chance to shape a critical part of an AI-enabled governance platform used by regulated organizations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship web apps and APIs underpinning the platform
• Lead platform features such as authentication and identity for enterprise clients
• Engage with client IT teams to understand requirements and provide thoughtful challenge
• Ensure security and data protection standards meet financial services expectations
• Work across the stack (Ruby, TypeScript/React, Python, Java)
• Share knowledge and deepen expertise in authentication and security
• Leverage AI tools (Claude Code) to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality

Key requirements

• Upper mid-level to senior professional software engineer
• Ruby proficiency with at least one other language
• Strong foundations in system design, testing, and code quality
• Experience building and maintaining production web apps and APIs
• Experience collaborating with clients' technical teams
• Experience using AI coding tools with good judgement
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
