Senior Operational Resilience Engineer

Overview

In this role you drive the operational resilience of trading services for UK and EU markets, aligning with regulatory requirements. You will be part of a global resilience team, applying AI-powered automation to gather evidence, map changes, monitor, and report on resilience. You collaborate with technology, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and audit to embed resilience across business processes. You shape first-line delivery of regulatory requirements into practical controls and procedures. This is a chance to influence resilience across a major market participant and tech-driven trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of services, dependencies, and their RTO/RPOs
• Develop automated triage, enrichment, event correlation, and post-incident documentation
• Support business impact analysis, risk identification, and continuity planning
• Design and implement automated BC/DR evidence collection, incident, and change management tooling
• Lead first-line regulatory implementation for MiFID II/MiFIR, DORA, EMIR
• Coordinate cross-functional implementation and embed testing with Technology, Legal, Operations, and Product
• Prepare regulatory self-assessments, governance reports, and senior-management updates
• Analyze test results, track remediation actions, and act as a risk partner to Operations

Key requirements

• At least five years’ experience in technology risk management, business continuity, or operational resilience
• Ability to rapidly learn business services and systems with strong technology interest
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven automation for BC/DR evidence collection and recovery workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management across a three-lines-of-defence framework
• Experience using data analysis and reporting tools
