Senior or Principal Civil Engineer, Water Sector

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, modellers, environmental scientists, and specialists to deliver water and wastewater projects
• Contribute across all design stages from concept to detailed design and reporting
• Apply creative, practical thinking to solve engineering challenges
• Ensure designs meet standards, regulations, and best practices
• Lead the technical delivery of key projects and review others' work
• Manage project scope, budget, and timelines
• Build relationships with clients, providing updates and technical guidance
• Mentor and support early-career professionals in the team

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in the water sector at Principal level
• Chartered or Incorporated with ICE, CIWEM or working towards
• Experience in engineering assessments, options appraisals, calculations, and/or economic appraisals
• Experience in outline and/or detailed design of wastewater/water treatment schemes
