Process Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you design and develop process solutions for water and wastewater projects within RSE’s Integrated Asset Delivery team. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary group to scope, size, and specify process equipment, P&IDs, and control philosophies, while supporting commissioning and field activities. You may lead design efforts on select projects and ensure compliance during construction. The role blends technical design with problem solving in a fast-paced, transformational water sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Project scoping and scope documentation
• Process calculations and unit sizing
• Preparation of P&IDs and PFDs
• Development of Process Control Philosophies
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on full solutions
• Participating in design meetings and HAZOPs
• Potential Design Lead on select projects
• Specification of temporary treatment to avoid consent breaches during construction
• Input into commissioning plans
• Troubleshooting operational issues

Key requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of design and operation of water and wastewater projects
• Demonstrated process engineering experience
• Experience in a multidiscipline design team
• Experience across design stages from optioneering/FEED to construction support and as-built (desirable)
• Experience with plant commissioning and/or operation (desirable)
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Full UK Driving Licence
