Water Process Engineer

What you will do

• Design treatment processes for clean water and wastewater works
• Produce PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and control philosophies
• Size equipment and carry out process and hydraulic calculations
• Write feasibility, outline and detailed design reports
• Support commissioning and troubleshoot process issues on site
• Work with civils, mechanical and electrical teams on multidisciplinary schemes

What you need

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental or Civil Engineering
• 3+ years in process engineering, ideally in water or wastewater
• Good knowledge of treatment technologies (activated sludge, filtration, chemical dosing, membranes)
• Understanding of UK water quality and environmental regulations
• Full UK driving licence

Nice to have

• Experience on AMP projects for a UK water company
• Process modelling experience (e.g. BioWin, GPS-X)
• Chartered status (CEng) with IChemE or CIWEM, or working towards it
