Pavement Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support pavement design and materials assessment for airports, ports, highways, and related infrastructure. You will work with senior engineers and cross-discipline teams to deliver technical analyses, reports, and specifications that support project delivery. You’ll gain exposure across multiple pavement engineering areas while advancing your technical judgment on live projects. Responsibilities

• Support pavement design for new construction and maintenance across transport infrastructure
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams from multiple disciplines
• Provide technical advice on properties and behavior of construction materials
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and contribute to technical reports and contract documentation
• Assist with site activities such as inspections, sampling, or supervision
• Review specifications and standards, and respond to technical queries
• Use Excel for data-led analysis and apply digital tools as experience grows
• Provide limited CAD support to enhance versatility in drawings

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Interest in or developing experience in pavement engineering, industrial pavements, airports, ports, highways, and/or construction materials
• Ability to independently apply specifications and standards and know when to seek guidance
