In this role you will design, build, and maintain the automation platform for large-scale test execution across Linux, Windows, and hardware emulation. You enable validation, design, and tooling teams by delivering CI, execution engine, scheduling, and reporting at scale. You won’t write tests; you’ll build robust infrastructure used daily to qualify next-generation products across AMD’s markets. You’ll collaborate with cross-site teams to improve productivity and reliability, with a meaningful impact on product qualification and quality.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI and regression environments for large-scale test suites across Linux and Windows
Develop a scalable execution engine to optimize machine and storage resource usage
Design and maintain databases for assets, releases, and results
Integrate hardware emulation platforms as execution targets within the automation workflow
Improve the validation automation ecosystem and infrastructure
Coordinate with tools teams to converge on common CI/regression methodologies
Collaborate with Architects and the Design & Verification team to ensure high-quality releases and clear results presentation
Key requirements
Strong software engineering experience building automation, tooling, or infrastructure
Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
Experience developing software across Linux and Windows
Experience designing/operating regression/CI systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and schedulers (LSF or Slurm)
Experience designing databases and services to manage assets, releases, and results, and building dashboards
Experience with QEMU or similar emulation/virtualization platforms
Comfort operating compute and storage at scale; focus on throughput and reliability
Working knowledge of Git, build systems, and DevOps/release-engineering practices
Familiarity with hardware emulation platforms (e.g., Synopsys ZeBu, Cadence Palladium, Siemens Veloce) is a plus
