You will own and optimize the end-to-end payment card ecosystem across two brands and ~800 locations, ensuring secure, resilient and commercially effective payment services. You’ll lead a small technical team, manage key supplier relationships and drive initiatives that modernize our card payments, loyalty integrations and mobile payment capabilities. You will act as the subject matter expert on payment technologies and fintech, aligning with security and compliance standards. This is a hands-on leadership role shaping the payments architecture and vendor strategy.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end payment card processing environment across brands and locations
Ensure availability, performance and security of payment services
Oversee acceptance technologies (terminals, switching, gateways, acquiring, loyalty, mobile payments)
Manage third-party suppliers and service desk functions
Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs and contractual obligations
Lead supplier performance reviews and service improvements
Handle escalations and critical incidents
Provide third-line support and expert troubleshooting for payment and loyalty systems
Lead delivery of payment-related projects and strategic initiatives
Coordinate stakeholders, suppliers, and business teams to deliver outcomes
Manage project plans, risks, budgets, dependencies and implementations
Introduce new payment methods, technologies, and customer experiences
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Define solution architectures with cross-functional teams
Own mobile apps and loyalty platforms from a payment/tech perspective
Drive enhancements to improve customer experience and business value
Lead P2PE implementation and PCI DSS compliance efforts
Support security audits and regulatory developments
