Senior Health, Safety and Environment ManagerAbingdon, Oxfordshire50,000 to 60,000 + Excellent BenefitsAre you an experienced Health and Safety professional with a strong background in heavy industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar sectors?We've been engaged by a leading facilities management organisation who are contracted to an industrial technology manufacturer to recruit a Senior Health, Safety and Environment Manager. The organisation has a large global network and this role will be specifically responsible for their substantial research and development facility.The company are leaders in health and safety and have an exceptional track record, this role will join the existing health and safety team and will play a key part in the organisations continuing success.Responsibilities for the Senior Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:Ensuring the facility is fully compliant with both UK legislation and the global strategy for health, safety and environmentActing as the key point of contact for health and safety, covering all mechanical equipment and hard facilities across the siteAuditing safety, health and environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near missesEngaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agenciesThe successful Senior Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical or related environmentNEBOSH or equivalent and membership of IOSH, ideally working towards or hold the DiplomaExcellent communication skills with proven experience engaging clients, staff, and contractorsExperience of working with ISO management systemsIEMA certificate/Environmental qualification (desirable)This is an excellent opportunity to work for a global industry leader in a progressive and forward-thinking environment.
