Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 6pm

A lovely family in Parsons Green are looking for a nanny to join their family. The family have two girls, aged 8 and 5, with a new baby arriving in December. They currently have a nanny who has been with them for some time, and they are now looking for a full-time nanny to join them as they grow a family of five.

Mum runs her own business and will be gradually returning to work following maternity leave, so the nanny will initially have time to build a lovely relationship with Mum and the new baby, while also caring for the girls around their school day.

The family are based just a short walk from Parsons Green tube, with the girls' school, activities and everything needed for the day all within around 10 minutes of the house. Dad works locally and is very hands on, with his office only around five minutes away, so he is able to help with school pick-ups when needed, particularly in bad weather.

The girls are both bright, social and lovely children with their own personalities. The eldest, who turns 8 in October and is in Year 3, is very social, loving and intelligent, while also valuing her own time to play independently. The family are looking for someone emotionally intuitive who can understand and support her as she grows, particularly as she becomes more independent.

The younger girl is 5 and will turn 6 in February. She is a confident, bubbly little girl who loves school and has lots of lovely friendships. She finishes school at 3.30pm each day, with ballet until 4.30pm on Wednesdays. The eldest finishes at 4pm, with ballet until 5.30pm on Wednesdays and netball until 4.30pm on Fridays. Dad is able to help with some of the later pick-ups, allowing the nanny to get ahead with dinner and the evening routine where needed.
During the school holidays, the family would love someone who enjoys getting out and about with the girls, whether that is heading to the park, a museum, local activities, camps or planning fun days together. As they get older, support with homework, reading and keeping on top of their school and activity commitments will be needed.

With the arrival of the new baby, there will also be a lovely focus on supporting the baby's development and care. The family are looking for someone with baby experience who understands developmental stages, educational play, bottle preparation and sterilising, weaning and creating healthy routines. A night nanny will be supporting the family for the first 12 weeks, so the nanny will have the opportunity to settle into the role gradually and build their relationship with the baby.

The nanny will naturally take ownership of the children's day-to-day organisation, keeping their spaces and belongings tidy and making sure everything is ready for school, activities and the week ahead. They are looking for someone who is naturally notices the little things that help family life run smoothly.

Cooking is part of the role, with the children eating fairly simple, healthy meals. Someone comfortable in the kitchen and who notices when something needs replacing or picking up from Waitrose would be great. The same proactive approach would apply to everyday supplies related to the children.

There is one elderly dog who is generally at work with Dad during the day. He is extremely gentle and very much part of the family, but there are no dog-related responsibilities.

A driver is not required, and the family are not looking for the nanny to travel with them on holidays.
