Flame Health Optometry has been instructed by our client to recruit a full-time Mobile Dispensing Optician, based in Camberley and supporting practices across Surrey and the surrounding area. The role offers a salary of up to £33,990, an average annual dispensing bonus of £2,500, and either a company car or travel allowance; it will suit a GOC-registered Dispensing Optician who enjoys patient care and variety in their working week.
You will provide dispensing support at different practices, covering holidays, assisting with additional clinics and bringing your expertise to teams when extra support is needed. The work spans a range of practice settings and patient needs, with travel kept within a pre-agreed radius of up to 90 minutes from your home address.
You will guide patients through the dispensing experience, build relationships and recommend eyewear suited to their prescription, lifestyle and personal style. The role calls for a consultative approach and a focus on individual care, rather than simply processing prescriptions. The working pattern alternates between Monday to Friday one week and Tuesday to Saturday the next. You will receive either a company car or travel allowance to support travel between practices.
Our client is an independent provider of optical and hearing care, with practices serving local communities. Each practice has its own team and character, while the wider organisation’s approach places patients and people at the centre of its work.
For a mobile colleague, this means working across different practice teams and supporting a variety of patient experiences. The role includes access to a medical cash plan, pension scheme, staff discounts and career progression opportunities. GOC fees are paid, and employees can access the organisation’s learning academy. The package also includes up to 2% commission on gross profit.
You must be a fully qualified, GOC-registered Dispensing Optician and hold a full UK driving licence. You will bring a genuine commitment to patient care, with the confidence to communicate clearly, build trust and offer advice tailored to each person.
