Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Knowsley Council for experienced and passionate Children's Social Workers to join their supportive Children with Disabilities Team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker looking to join a specialist service offering strong management support, manageable team sizes and excellent opportunities for professional development.
The Children with Disabilities Team is a specialist service responsible for assessing and supporting disabled children and young people up to the age of 18. As a Social Worker within the team, you will work closely with children, young people and their families to assess their individual needs and develop appropriate plans and packages of support designed to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
The Children with Disabilities Team benefits from a distinctive management structure, with two Team Managers providing leadership across the service . This helps maintain manageable team sizes while giving practitioners access to high-quality supervision and support. Social Workers work closely alongside Managers, a Finance Officer and Family Support Worker, creating a collaborative environment focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families. Previous Children with Disabilities experience is desirable but is not essential. The team welcomes experienced Children's Social Workers from other statutory services who are interested in developing specialist knowledge. Practitioners are supported through shared expertise, reflective supervision and ongoing training opportunities.
Knowsley is continuing to invest in its Children's Services workforce, leadership and professional development. As a smaller local authority, practitioners have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues and the communities they support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker who wants to develop your career within an ambitious, supportive and continually developing service.
