The Role

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Administrator to join our busy Scrap Car Network team based in Preston.

This is a varied, fast-paced role involving customer service, administration, sales calls and the coordination of vehicle collections. You will act as a key point of contact for Scrap Car Network and RAW2K customers, supporting them throughout the collection process and ensuring they receive a professional and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to Scrap Car Network and RAW2K customers by telephone and email.
Handle a high volume of inbound calls, answering customer questions and resolving enquiries promptly.
Make outbound calls to follow up on customer leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
Book and rearrange vehicle collections, taking into account customer requirements, driver availability, travel distances and cost efficiency.
Resolve customer complaints at the first point of contact wherever possible.
Escalate any complex or unresolved issues promptly to the appropriate person.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, drivers and colleagues.
Accurately update customer and collection information across multiple systems.
Ensure all emails and customer correspondence are actioned within the required timescales.
Identify recurring customer issues and suggest improvements to help reduce repeat calls.
Maintain and provide relevant KPI information when required.
Follow agreed call standards, company procedures and service expectations.
Complete all allocated work accurately and within the timescales provided.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced administrator with strong customer service skills who is comfortable managing a high volume of work and conflicting priorities.

You will have:

Previous administration and customer service experience.
An excellent and professional telephone manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence making both inbound and outbound calls.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to use and confidently navigate multiple computer systems.
A good understanding of customer requirements.
The ability to remain calm and professional when working under pressure.
A flexible, reliable and punctual approach to work.
A positive attitude towards the company and wider team.
Qualifications in Maths and English, or equivalent.
