Scrap Yard Receptionist

Salary: Potential earnings from £28,000 per annum

The Role:

The Receptionist will provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for Global Ardour Recycling’s Preston site.

The role is responsible for handling incoming calls, greeting visitors, managing general enquiries, and supporting the site with administrative duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering and directing incoming telephone calls in a polite and professional manner
• Greeting visitors, customers, and contractors, ensuring they are signed in and directed appropriately
• Managing general enquiries from staff, suppliers, and members of the public
• Responding to emails and forwarding messages to the relevant departments
• Handling incoming and outgoing post, including sorting and distributing
• Supporting with general office duties as requiredMaintaining a tidy and organised reception area
• Assisting with filing, photocopying, scanning, and basic data entry tasks
• Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• To book requested travel / hotels / trains for the Company when required

The ideal candidate:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident telephone manner
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Professional, friendly, and approachable attitude
• Basic IT skills, including email and Microsoft Office
