Bedford Borough Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Our Care team.

You will support Looked After Children aged 0–18 , including separated migrant children, helping to ensure their safety, wellbeing and long-term outcomes.

The role will involve:

• Care planning and achieving permanency for children and young people
• Supporting positive education, health and social outcomes
• Undertaking statutory social work responsibilities
• Advocating for children and young people
• Working closely with families and partner agencies
• Supporting separated migrant children where required
• Promoting the council's Parenting Together approach

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
• Essential: Experience working with Looked After Children
• Experience with separated migrant children is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of statutory children's social care
• Excellent partnership-working and communication skills

Rate: £39.31 per hour
