I’m currently working with a well-established civil engineering consultancy based in Sevenoaks that is looking to expand its team with the appointment of a Civil Design Engineer.

The Role

As a Civil Design Engineer, you’ll be involved in a varied portfolio of infrastructure and development projects, with responsibilities including:

Designing highways and infrastructure layouts for residential and commercial developments.

Preparing and delivering Section 278 (S278) highway designs.

Designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and surface water drainage solutions.

Producing foul and surface water drainage strategies and detailed designs.

Undertaking highway design, including levels, road geometry and associated infrastructure.

Preparing technical drawings, calculations and design reports.

Liaising with clients, local authorities and other design disciplines to deliver projects successfully.

What We're Looking For

Experience in civil engineering design, ideally within a consultancy environment.

A background in highways, drainage and infrastructure design.

Knowledge of S278 agreements, SuDS and drainage design.

Familiarity with relevant design standards and approval processes.

Proficiency in industry design software, such as AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.

A proactive approach, strong communication skills and a desire to develop professionally.
