Social Worker – Families First, Looked After Children or Adolescent Intervention (Permanent)

Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Salary: £40,444 – £46,579 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are working with Southend-on-Sea City Council to recruit permanent Social Workers across Families First, Looked After Children and Adolescent Intervention & Prevention teams.

The Role

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
• Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments and direct work with children and families.
• Prepare reports and present at child protection conferences and core group meetings.
• Work closely with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes for children.
• Keep children's voices at the centre of all assessment and planning.

About You

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Experience within Children's Social Care.
• Sound knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
