This is a full-time, ongoing position starting ASAP, offering an excellent opportunity to support students studying Psychology at A Level.

Position Details

Job Title: KS5 Psychology Teacher

Location: Rossendale area, Lancashire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing

Daily Rate: £168.80 – £215.68, depending on experience

About the Psychology Teacher Role

Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons at KS5/A Level

Teach key psychological theories, approaches, research methods and studies

Prepare students for assessments and examinations

Develop students' critical thinking, analytical and evaluation skills

Plan lessons that meet a range of abilities and learning needs

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement

The Ideal Psychology Teacher Will

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification

Have experience teaching Psychology at KS5/A Level

Have a strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Psychology curriculum

Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons

Demonstrate effective classroom management and communication skills

Be committed to supporting students' progress and examination success

Be committed to safeguarding children and young people

Provide details of the two most recent references, covering the last five years' work history

Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of registration

Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy the required safeguarding and compliance checks
