Global Engineering Purchasing Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Cheshire based client to recruit for a Global Engineering Purchasing Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help my client on there next stage of expansion, this is a role that will really give you the opportunity make your make on a growing company.

You will be tasked with taking ownership of a multi-million pound spend to ensure that the price, quality, and performance of products are delivered.

Key Duties:

Develop a robust Far Eastern portfolio of suppliers
Manage the procurement of often complex machined components
Lead Supplier negotiations
Challenge total cost and identify opportunities to improve margins without risking quality

Key Skills and experience:

Senior Procurement experience within a mechanical engineering environment
Must have a proven track record of sourcing in China, Europe and India
Have good technical knowledge and an understanding of how components are made
