Global Engineering Purchasing Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Cheshire based client to recruit for a Global Engineering Purchasing Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help my client on there next stage of expansion, this is a role that will really give you the opportunity make your make on a growing company.

You will be tasked with taking ownership of a multi-million pound spend to ensure that the price, quality, and performance of products are delivered.

Key Duties:

• Develop a robust Far Eastern portfolio of suppliers
• Manage the procurement of often complex machined components
• Lead Supplier negotiations
• Challenge total cost and identify opportunities to improve margins without risking quality

Key Skills and experience:

• Senior Procurement experience within a mechanical engineering environment
• Must have a proven track record of sourcing in China, Europe and India
• Have good technical knowledge and an understanding of how components are made
