We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baker to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This dynamic role involves preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will bring creativity and precision to the baking process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, baking, and kitchen experience.
Duties
Prepare and bake a wide range of cakes, savoury items and specialty items
Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and assembling baked products
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations, including closing down the kitchen at the end of the day
Portion and box traybakes, packaging orders for wholesale and retail customers
Bake and decorate celebration cakes and Wedding Cakes, attending venues to deliver
Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards to guarantee product quality and customer safety
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed
