Senior Civil Engineer - Dams & Reservoirs
Exeter
Are you ready to support a team of talented engineers and shape the future of the water industry?
At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
The UK is entering a once-in-a-generation era of reservoir development. From major Strategic Resource Option (SRO) schemes to pumped storage hydro projects, the judgements made today will shape water security, sustainability and resilience for decades to come.
As an experienced dams and reservoirs professional, you'll be at the forefront of that transformation.
Joining our Water Catchment Management team, you'll help deliver high-profile projects that protect communities, safeguard critical infrastructure and support the UK's future water needs.
You’ll play a key role in developing innovative reservoir engineering solutions across the full asset lifecycle, from feasibility and appraisal through to detailed design, statutory inspections, remediation and dam discontinuance.
This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on some of the UK's most important water infrastructure projects.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand across the water sector, we're creating new opportunities within our established Dams & Reservoirs team.
Working alongside many of the UK's principal reservoir owners, including the Environment Agency, United Utilities, Northumbrian Water, Thames Water and Welsh Water, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from statutory reservoir inspections and remedial works to the design and delivery of major new dam infrastructure.
You'll collaborate with specialists across hydrology, geotechnics, hydraulics, structures and environmental disciplines, bringing together expertise to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.
If you're looking for a role where your expertise will influence nationally significant projects, where you'll work alongside some of the industry's pioneering specialists, and where you'll have the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on the UK's water infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.
