Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for our client, a well-established, global financial institution undergoing large-scale digital transformation.

Working model: Hybrid, with 3 days a week onsite in London.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Contribute to the design and development of microservices and web services.
• Work with databases and support integration between systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team in an Agile environment.

We prefer to do things instead of just talking about them.

Required skills and experience

• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and object-oriented programming.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and the Java standard library.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Knowledge of Oracle and/or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with TeamCity, Jira and Git.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
