A private sector, not-for-profit membership organisation whose objective is to transform the City of Cardiff, representing over 1000 businesses across retail, hospitality, office, leisure, culture and public sectors. Operating at the intersection of business, government and communities, they deliver strategic investment, placemaking, business support, marketing, events, public realm and policy leadership to support a vibrant, inclusive and competitive capital city. They provide a voice for their members, making Cardiff a vibrant, safe, and prosperous city for businesses, residents, and visitors. Through innovative projects and strategic partnerships, their mission is to enhance the city’s public spaces and deliver tangible improvements that make a real difference.
This is an organisation committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and ambitious working environment where people are empowered to contribute ideas, innovate and make a meaningful impact. Embracing values of integrity, compassion, communication and collaboration, they are member-focused and city-centric. Their work is impactful, helping to shape Cardiff’s urban environment and the emerging future.
As the organisation enters an ambitious new phase of growth and transformation, including an expansion into Cardiff Bay, they are seeking an organised, creative and delivery focused Marketing & Events Manager to lead high-quality marketing activity across campaigns, events, digital channels, supplier relationships and brand delivery.
With a focus on creating a cleaner, safer, greener and more vibrant capital city, the Marketing & Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of marketing activity that supports projects, campaigns, events and place making initiatives.
As Marketing & Events Manager, you’ll ensure consistent, brand aligned marketing outputs across digital and offline channels, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the smooth delivery of campaigns and event logistics. You’ll lead the City Experience Working Group, sharing progress and insights with city‑wide stakeholders and championing initiatives that illustrate the organisations’ return on investment to members.
This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of accuracy, accessibility, digital effectiveness and brand integrity across all marketing materials, while using data and insight to improve campaign performance and member experience.
