C# Junior Software Engineer

Our client, a London-based hedge fund and proprietary trading firm, is hiring a C# Software Engineer to join a small team building a new trading and settlement platform from scratch.

The team is made up of experienced traders and engineers building a technology-first trading product that is already gaining traction with major financial institutions.

You’ll work directly with traders and senior developers on real-time trading infrastructure, algorithmic trading systems, order management, and post-trade automation. The environment is lean, technical, and hands‑on, with far less bureaucracy than a typical bank or large financial institution.

This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be involved in building core systems from the ground up and will get broad exposure across the full trading lifecycle.

Trading and settlement infrastructure

Looking for:

• 2–3 years’ software engineering experience
• Interest in trading systems and financial markets (fixed income, corp paper)
• Understanding of products such as futures or options is helpful
• STEM degree from a strong university
• Someone practical, curious, and keen to learn

Strong opportunity for engineers who want more ownership, direct exposure to trading, and the chance to work closely with experienced traders and developers in a high‑performance environment.
