Leisure Operations Manager

NEW OPENING - Start date 1/10/26

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

As our Leisure Operations Manager for the Pool, you are the absolute protector of the club's physical safety and cleanliness. You will manage the entire wet side operation, taking total ownership of the plant room, poolside safety, and the daily management of our Leisure Assistants. You ensure that behind the scenes, the mechanics of the club run flawlessly so our members can swim and relax safely.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.

Previous wet side management experience is essential, but your attitude, proactive nature, and absolute obsession with standards matter just as much. If you have the technical knowledge for the plant room and the leadership skills to drive a team of assistants, we will give you all the support you need. Because it really does take a Village.

How the Village Thrives

We live our culture through four simple commitments:

• We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
• We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
• We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need someone to tick a checklist. We need an operational heavyweight who takes health and safety personally. We trust you to handle:

• The Engine Room: Managing the mechanics. You will take total ownership of the plant room operations, ensuring chemical levels, temperatures, and filtration systems are running perfectly and safely at all times.
• The Wet Side: Protecting the members. You will oversee all poolside operations and overall Health & Safety for the leisure club, ensuring strict compliance with all regulations without exception.
• The Cleanliness: Setting the standard. You will drive operational excellence across the changing rooms and wet facilities, ensuring the cleanliness is immaculate from open to close.
• The Team Leadership: Building the talent. You will oversee, train, and motivate our team of Leisure Assistants, ensuring they are vigilant on poolside and proactive when it comes to maintaining the club's standards.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your facilities, solve practical problems, and own the wet side. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide excellent training and development to help you step up in your leisure management career.

Selling Our Benefits

• Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
• Hotel Stays: Discounted stays from £35 based on two sharing, plus a Holiday Purchase scheme.
• Food & Drink: 50% discount on Food and Drink purchased on or off shift at any Village Hotel.
• Financial & Extras: Financial wellbeing support via Wagestream, High Street discounts, an Electric car salary sacrifice scheme, and your birthday off guaranteed.

Think You Have Got the Right Energy?

We are looking for an operational expert with serious attention to detail. If you understand the technical reality of running a commercial pool, know how to motivate a team of assistants, and absolutely refuse to compromise on health and safety, we want to hear from you.

Bring your personality, your drive, and your ambition.
