Leisure Operations Team Leader

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

As our Leisure Team Leader, you are the operational anchor on the floor. You will assist the management team in running the daily shifts, coaching our Leisure Assistants, and ensuring the club looks immaculate. When the managers are out of the building, you are the one making the decisions, solving problems, and keeping our members happy.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.

Previous experience working in a fast paced leisure environment is essential, but your attitude, emotional intelligence, and natural leadership matter much more to us. If you are a proactive team player who loves helping others succeed and wants to take your first step into management, we will give you all the support and training you need. Because it really does take a Village.

How the Village Thrives

We live our culture through three simple commitments:

• We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
• We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
• We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need someone to hand out towels. We need a visible, hands on leader. We trust you to handle:

• The Floor Leadership: Running the shift. You will be the visible leader on the gym and pool floor, making sure operational standards are flawless and keeping the team motivated and smiling.
• The Guest Experience: Taking the heat. You will step in to handle member complaints and solve practical problems on the spot, ensuring the club's reputation stays top tier even when the managers are away.
• The Team Development: Coaching the crew. You will assist with daily rotas, training, and inductions, using your experience to help your team members develop their own skills and careers.
• The Operational Standards: Protecting the brand. You will enforce strict health and safety rules, manage cleanliness, and ensure the club is perfectly prepared for every single shift.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to run your shifts, solve practical problems, and own the floor. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide excellent training and development to help you step up to a management role.

Selling Our Benefits

• Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
• Hotel Stays: Discounted stays from £35 based on two sharing, plus a Holiday Purchase scheme.
• Food & Drink: 50% discount on Food and Drink purchased on or off shift at any Village Hotel.
• Financial & Extras: Financial wellbeing support via Wagestream, High Street discounts, an Electric car salary sacrifice scheme, and your birthday off guaranteed.

Think You Have Got the Right Energy?

We are looking for natural leaders who thrive in a busy leisure environment. If you know how to keep a team motivated, refuse to compromise on health and safety, and want to build a serious career in leisure management, we want to hear from you.
