Hotel Kitchen - Team Member

Kitchen Team Member – Oxford Cowley Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and seeing the results of your work straight away, this could be the role for you.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.56 per hour

Contract:Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 26 contracted hours per week.

Location: Oxford Business Park, Garsington Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX4 2JT

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.

Why join Premier Inn?

Here you’ll learn far more than how to cook.

You’ll build kitchen skills, food safety knowledge and confidence working in a team.

Some people stay because they love the team. Others use the experience to move into other parts of Premier Inn. However far you want to go, we’ll help you get there.

What you’ll get

• Permanent contract with guaranteed hours
• Training and support from day one
• Discounts on Premier Inn stays and more
• Pension and savings schemes
• Discounts on everyday shopping, travel and more
• This could be your first role with us, or the start of something much bigger. As you build your skills and confidence, you'll have opportunities to learn, develop and explore different paths across Premier Inn.

Is this role right for you?

If you:

• Like being busy
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Take pride in doing things properly
• Stay calm when the kitchen gets busy
• Want a job where every shift goes quickly...

...we'd love to hear from you.
