Global manufacturing service provider of precision products based in Lanark have an opportunity for a Trainee Engineer.

Over the past 4 months they have employed a few young people on temporary contracts, giving them time with the company to make sure engineering is what they want to do which also gives the company time to make sure they have the right attitude and ability.

This has worked well so far with 2 out of 3 employees moving onto permanent contracts.

They now have an opportunity of a 12-week fixed term contract for someone looking for an introduction into engineering with an immediate start.

ALL AGES CONSIDERED.

Wage, under 21 £10.85 per hour, over 21 £13.45 per hour contract is 37 hours per week

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• 12-week fixed term contract gaining experience in a variety of production departments.
• Possibility of becoming permanent, either as an apprenticeship or in house training (if too old for apprenticeship)

• Would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands e.g. design & manufacturing, mechanics, joinery etc.
