Associate Recruitment Consultant

Search Recruitment Group is growing in Edinburgh, and we’re looking for an ambitious Associate Recruitment Consultant to join our high-performing team.

Established in 1987, Search has almost 40 years of expertise and has grown into one of the UK’s leading recruitment agencies, with offices across the UK and in New York. We recruit across a wide range of specialist markets and have built long-standing relationships with businesses across the country.

We’re looking for individuals who already have at least 12 months’ professional work experience and are ready to turn that experience into a fast-paced, commercially focused career.

You might work in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service or another target-driven environment. You don’t need previous recruitment experience — we’ll give you the training, coaching and support to develop into a successful 360 Recruitment Consultant.

What Will You Be Doing?

Recruitment is a people-focused sales career where you’ll build relationships, create opportunities and make a real impact for both clients and candidates. You’ll be trained across the full 360 recruitment process, including:

• Building strong relationships with existing clients and developing new business opportunities.
• Speaking with prospective clients to understand their hiring challenges, processes and needs.
• Sourcing, interviewing and representing high-quality candidates within your specialist market.
• Managing the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to offer and placement.
• Negotiating, overcoming objections and building long-term relationships.
• Building your own network, reputation and personal brand in your market.
• Working towards individual targets and taking ownership of your success.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Confident in communicating and building relationships with different people.
• Proactive and comfortable picking up the phone to create opportunities.
• Resilient, competitive and motivated by achieving results.
• Commercially minded and confident working towards targets.
• Ambitious, eager to learn and motivated by progression and earning potential.

Experience in sales, customer service or another commercial or target-driven environment would be advantageous.

Why Search?

At Search, you’ll have the support, training and earning potential to build a successful long-term career — while being recognised and rewarded for the results you deliver.

You’ll receive:

• Uncapped commission of up to 40% of your billings.
• A 0% threshold for your first six months.
• Award-winning training and ongoing coaching to support your development.
• Clear career pathways, whether you want to progress into leadership or become a top biller.
• Quarterly and annual Highflyer incentives, including Dubrovnik in 2027.
• Golden Ticket Scheme — earn up to £500 in vouchers during your first six months.
• Flex Holiday Scheme — buy or sell up to 5 days’ annual leave.
• Access to hundreds of discounts through Tastecard.
• EV car benefit scheme through Tusker.
• Regular incentives, social events and early finishes.
• Dedicated marketing and back-office support to help you grow your market and build your desk.

If you’ve built solid workplace experience and are ready for a career with greater earning potential, clear progression and the chance to build something of your own, we’d love to hear from you.
