Technical Officer

Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer Environmental Health (Residential) to join the team based in Kirkby-In-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £16,030 - £17,217 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated individual to join our Environmental Health (Residential) Team as a Technical Officer.

Your role will be to help deliver our Healthy Homes Project; the focus being actions to address the issue of damp and mould in the private housing sector. In doing so, you will help the Council meet its aim of improving housing standards and ensuring all residents have decent and safe accommodation.

You will have a knowledge of housing standards and public health legislation and some experience of working in this field. You will have excellent communication skills and be a good problem solver and skilled negotiator.

The role is a varied one, it is both challenging and rewarding and sits within a team that is both ambitious and forward thinking.
