Quality Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing Site based in Alfreton, Derbyshire

Are you a quality-focused professional with experience in manufacturing environments? We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our chemical manufacturing operation in Alfreton, playing a key role in driving product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

Investigating quality issues and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Leading quality audits and supporting customer, supplier, and certification audits.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.
Conducting risk assessments using tools such as FMEA, HACCP, and SPC.
Supporting process, equipment, material, and packaging validation activities.
Developing and maintaining quality procedures, standards, and documentation.
Analysing quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Delivering training and coaching to promote a strong quality culture across the site.

What We're Looking For

Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Background in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated process industries preferred.
Experience investigating non-conformances and managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and auditing processes.
Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Full UK driving license preferred.
