Quality Engineer / CMM Operator

Days | £42,000 | 28 Days Holiday + Pension

An established precision engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an Quality Engineer / CMM Operator to join its quality team.

The position will involve the QMS Managment , CMM Operation and some inspection of precision machined components, ensuring parts meet the required dimensional and quality standards before release.

The Role

• QMS Management
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspection
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications
• Use micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment
• Operate CMM and automated inspection equipment
• Record inspection results and identify non-conforming components
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

The company currently uses Ferranti and Keyence inspection equipment , so previous experience with either would be advantageous.

What We're Looking For

You should have previous experience within Quality and preferrably within a precision engineering, CNC machining or manufacturing environment.

You will need to be confident using standard mechanical inspection equipment and have experience operating a CMM.

Experience in FAIR's, CMM Operation , QMS, inspecting components and interpreting engineering drawings would be particularly relevant.

This is a permanent days position paying £42,000 , depending on experience, plus 28 days' holiday and pension .
