£34669 + Full Teacher Training + 28% Pension + 50 Days Holiday + Excellent Onsite Facilities + Training + Progression
Are you an Agricultural Engineer, Heavy Plant Engineer, HGV Technician or similar looking to move away from industry into a Monday-to-Friday role where you can use your technical experience to train the next generation of engineers?
Do you have strong hands-on experience maintaining, servicing and repairing agricultural machinery, heavy plant, construction equipment, HGVs or other heavy mechanical equipment and want a career offering an excellent work-life balance, outstanding benefits and full training to become a qualified lecturer?
This specialist college is renowned for the quality of its land-based and engineering education and has invested significantly in its practical training facilities. You'll work within a well-equipped engineering environment where students develop the skills required to become the next generation of agricultural and land-based engineers.
In this role, you'll use your existing mechanical engineering experience to teach apprentices and learners across Level 2 and Level 3 land-based engineering programmes. The training will focus on areas including mechanical systems, engines, hydraulics, transmissions, servicing, fault finding, maintenance and repair of agricultural and land-based machinery. You do not need previous teaching experience, as full teacher training and support will be provided.
The ideal candidate could come from Agricultural Engineering, Heavy Plant, Construction Plant, HGV/Heavy Vehicle or a similar heavy mechanical engineering background. What's important is that you have strong practical experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical equipment and are interested in transferring those skills into agricultural and land-based engineering.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from the pressures, hours and physical demands of industry into a rewarding Monday-to-Friday career where you'll receive full teacher training, a 28% pension and approximately 50 days' holiday, while passing your experience on to the next generation of engineers.
We are an equal opportunities company and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
