I am representing a rapidly growing, technology-led healthcare organisation seeking an experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to lead clinical governance, regulatory compliance and professional standards across a high-volume digital pharmacy operation.
This is a senior leadership opportunity where you will work closely with clinical and operational leadership, helping shape pharmacy strategy, governance, technology and future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead clinical governance and professional standards across the pharmacy
Ensure compliance with GPhC, MHRA and relevant regulations
Oversee Controlled Drugs governance and record-keeping
Lead and develop a large pharmacy team
Maintain SOPs, systems and competency frameworks
Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits
Identify opportunities for technology, automation and operational improvements
Support the development and expansion of pharmacy services
Essential Experience
Current GPhC registration
Previous Superintendent Pharmacist or senior pharmacy leadership experience
Strong knowledge of GPhC standards and pharmacy governance
Experience with Controlled Drugs governance
Experience in a high-volume pharmacy environment
Regulatory inspection and audit experience
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Desirable: Online/digital pharmacy, private healthcare, medical cannabis, multi-site operations or pharmacy technology experience.
