Manufacturing Industrialisation Engineer

At Altro, we pride ourselves on developing innovative flooring and walling solutions that make a difference in environments around the world. As we continue to invest in our manufacturing capability and product innovation, we're looking for an Industrialisation Engineer to join our team based in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. This is a full time, permanent role, based at our HQ in Letchworth, with occasional travel (once a quarter) to our other manufacturing site in Dessau, Germany.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bringing new and enhanced products into manufacturing while driving process robustness, efficiency and continuous improvement across our production operations.

As an Industrialisation Engineer, you'll act as the technical bridge between Product Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Industrial Systems. You'll help ensure new and modified products are successfully transferred into production in a safe, controlled and repeatable way.

So, what will you be doing?

• Supporting the industrialisation and scale-up of new and modified products into manufacturing.
• Planning, coordinating and reviewing production trials and validation activities.
• Defining process controls, operating limits and quality requirements.
• Investigating production issues and process deviations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Analysing manufacturing data and trends to improve process capability and product consistency.
• Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Product Development teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Supporting plant continuity initiatives and improving manufacturing robustness.
• Ensuring all technical changes and trials support our commitment to Zero Harm.

As well as an exciting opportunity and a competitive salary, what do we have offer?

• Holiday entitlement starts at 25 days (pro rata); if you need a little extra... you can buy some more.
• A defined contribution pension scheme available for all staff
• Hopefully never needed, but from day one you will be covered by our life assurance scheme
• Occupational Sick Pay and an onsite Occupational Health Service
• Confidential 24-hour life management and personal support service for you and your family
• Free eye tests are available for all employees
• A paid day off each year to take part in our volunteering scheme
• Don’t worry about getting parked...we have free car parking at all our sites
• We offer long service awards to all our employees
• Learning and Development - training and development support, no matter where you are in your career
• A variety of social events across the group, including the company Christmas party.
• It might be a long way off but we know it’s not always easy to stop working so we provide advice and support to ease the transition to retirement.

We're interested in hearing from practical, collaborative engineers or scientists who enjoy solving manufacturing challenges and working across multiple disciplines.
