The Project Design Engineer Role:

As a Project Design Engineer, you will deliver multiple engineering design projects from initial concept through to production, contributing to products being delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering mechanical design and product development projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Creo.
• Designing new products and developing improvements to existing product ranges.
• Building and evaluating prototypes to validate product performance.
• Using in-house testing facilities to support product development.
• Collaborating with manufacturing, production, purchasing and quality teams.

Your background as a Project Design Engineer:

You could currently be working as a:

• Mechanical Design Engineer
• Design Engineer
• Product Design Engineer
• Development Engineer

To be successful you will ideally have:

• Experience within a mechanical design or product development engineering environment.
• A good understanding of mechanical engineering and engineering design principles.
• Experience producing 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
• A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
